What is a view?
Views are a recurring element that accompanies most apps; think of them like filters designed for the current app you are using. They can let you find an account you're searching for easily and quickly, as well as organize them to suit your needs based on a variety of filters and custom properties.
Views can be found in the Radar, Accounts, People, Plays, and Tasks apps.
Types of views
- System Views: views built into the user interface that cannot be changed.
- My Views: displays all accounts assigned to you.
- Team Views: views that can be shared with other users.
Create a view
You can add views for Accounts, People, Plays and Tasks.
- Navigate to the bottom of the view panel and click the blue plus button.
- A pop-up menu will appear that gives you the option of adding properties to the View.
Note that the pop-up menu for adding Account views is different than adding views for People, Plays and Tasks.
Edit a view
- Navigate to the view panel and click the action menu for your preferred view.
- Click Edit.
- Change the properties in the modal.
- Click Save.
Delete a view
- Click the view's action menu.
- Click Delete.
Clone a view
- Navigate to the view panel and click the view's action menu.
- Click Clone.
- Change the properties in the modal.
- Click Save.
Accounts-only features
The accounts app has unique enhanced views to make managing your accounts easier.
Selecting Columns
You can decide which columns you want to be displayed in a view.
- Click on the action menu of the view you want to change.
- Click Edit.
- Go to Display Columns in the modal.
- Drag the properties you want to add from the 'Available' section to 'Selected'.
- Click Save.
Default Sort Order
You can change the sort order of your views.
- Click on the view's action menu.
- Click Edit.
- Change the Property and Order under the Sort section.
- Click Save.
Favourite Views
These are views you've marked as your favourites. They will appear as the first view in the view panel list.
- Navigate to the view and click its action menu.
- Click Edit.
- Click the Favorite box.
- Click Save.
System Views
Views have different features in different apps. Below is a list of the team views unique to each app.
- Accounts
- My Accounts
- My Active Accounts
- Unassigned Accounts
- Churned Accounts
- Active Accounts
- People
- All Customers
- Key Contacts
- My Contacts
- Plays
- (User-dependent)*

It's worth noting that in the Plays app, Amity automatically provides a system view that shows plays filtered by users.
