What are integrations?
Integrations allow Amity to collect data from third-party systems. Using this data, Amity can build a comprehensive, single view of your customers and users.
Below are some of the popular systems that Amity integrations with:
Google G Suite Hubspot Marketing & CRM Intercom
Zendesk Microsoft Office 365 Salesforce Xero
How does an integration work?
In most cases, an Amity integration connects directly to the third party system using the system's application programming interface (API).
In order for Amity to access the API, you will be required to provide us with appropriate credentials for the third-party system.
The integration collects updated data from the third party system periodically. To maintain high availability, all third party systems regulate (or "rate limit") the volume of API requests. As a result, the exact Amity schedule varies by system. In general, most Amity integrations run every 1-2 hours while others run every 24 hours.
It's important to note that the initial synchronization between a third party system and Amity will always take a long amount of time as it has to sync a larger amount data. After the initial run, the subsequent runs are shorter because the synchronization is incremental.
