This article covers the tasks administration. To learn the basics of Tasks, check out this article.
It covers the following sections:
- Configure task stages
- Configure task types
- Managed properties
Configure task stages
All of the tasks features can be changed in the Settings app. Navigate there and click on Tasks under Configuration.
Tasks can fall into four different stages: Not Started, In Progress, Waiting For, and Completed. These are the default names set by Amity, but you can change them.
Note that only one stage can be checked as Completed.
Each stage comes with its own ID and can be checked as Enabled, Completed, or Started.
Always be sure to save your changes.
Configure task types
Tasks can be assigned types to better keep track of them.
They also have default names that can be changed, an ID and the ability to be enabled.
Always be sure to save your changes.
Managed properties
Tasks have managed properties that cannot be changed by the user. They can only be renamed.
New properties can only be added, and they can be enabled or disabled. Managed properties are found in Settings.
Tasks have Stages and Types properties. These determine where your tasks go in the app, as well which kind they are.
Add a property

- Click on Tasks under the Configuration tab.
- Click the Settings tab.
- Click the grey plus button for the kind of property you want to add.
