This article covers how to do various actions with plays.

Add a play
- Navigate to the Plays app.
- Click on the grey plus button on the right of the app toolbar.
- Fill in the properties and click Add.
Delete a play
Note: Deleting a play does not delete its associated tasks. You will still see them in the Tasks app and the tasks section of the account profile.
- Navigate to the Plays app.
- Click the action menu of the play you want to delete.
- Click Delete and confirm.
Play outcome
The outcome of a play can be ‘In Progress’, ‘Success’, or ‘Failed’. To close a play, you have to manually select the outcome from the action menu of that play.
On the plays toolbar you can click the outcome filter button to view plays in each outcome. By default you will be on the ‘In Progress’ page when you first go to the Plays app.
Reopen a closed play
- Click the outcome filter button and select ‘Success’ or ‘Failed’.
- Find the play you want to reopen.
- Click the play to make the sidebar appear.
- Click the play’s action menu in the sidebar.
- Select ‘Reopen’. The play will be visible in the ‘In Progress’ view.
Reassign a play
There are two ways to reassign a play in Amity.
1. Manual method
You can use this method if there is a particular play you'd like to reassign.
- Navigate to the Plays app.
- Click on the play that you want to change. The sidebar will appear.
- Click on the action menu in the sidebar and click Edit.
- Scroll to the bottom of the properties modal to find the Assignee property.
- Select a new assignee and click Save.
2. Automated method
You can use this method if there's an existing rule that automatically adds plays to a playbook and you want to change the assignee for future plays.
- Navigate to the Settings app.
- Click on Rules under the Automation tab.
- Locate the rule with an action for adding plays to a certain playbook.
- Click on the rule to edit it.
- Find the action with type Add a play.
- Change the person listed under Assignee.
That person will be assigned to plays created by this rule from now on.
