Send an email template
Step 1: Add a rule
Before emailing customers, send out a test email to ensure your template is correct. Click Send Test Email under the Message box on the right side.
- Navigate to Settings and select Rules under the Automation tab.
- Add a new rule with your required conditions (e.g. accounts with an "active" status).
- Under Actions, change the type to "Email customers".
- Fill out the sender information and subject line.
- Select Import Template under the right side of the message box.
- Check the "Prevent this action from repeating" box, or the rule will trigger every time your conditions are met.
- If this is a one-time email, disable your rule after it's been sent out.
Step 2: Identify specific recipients
If you want to send an email to only a particular group of people, you can add filters to make it easier.
- In the Rule Editor, set the Action Type to "Email customers".
- Click the grey plus button beside "When the recipients match ALL of these filters".
- Fill in the fields.
- Click Create in the top right.
You can also add an "'OR' Group" if the recipient falls into another group. For example, they could be an account key contact or a team leader.
